Whew...how time flies!

I can't believe I haven't posted in 2 weeks.

All is well. Exciting stuff, my niece Megan Joy (yep, the Joy is because of ME!!) Stopped in last week on her way through going from Michigan to Utah.

Megan is beautiful. I hadn't seen her in about 7 years. She is such a free spirit. Unlike my sister (her mom) and I who live life by schedules, rules, and lists, Megan is like a sweet little gypsy. Her friend Nick was her driver, they spent the afternoon and she was off again. I was so happy to see her.

I made Hook a hat.

Ok, not too many people know this about me but I'm like a "Martha Stewart" really.

I've suppressed these urges to crochet doilies and hats for a long while. I can't fight it anymore. I must do grandma things....I must create knitted apparel and frilly lace things.

This is what Hook thinks about it.....

And... he rufuses to wear the hat because of the cute pom-pom I put in the top.

How ungrateful is that?

Eight years ago Hook and I had our official "real" date. It was December 31, 1999. Everyone was un edge as they felt there would be the big crash, everything turning over to the new year.....2000.

 After we watched Dick Clark drop the ball in Times Square, Sting perfomed the song I posted, Hook gathered himself up and headed for New York for a run.

Eight years later I'm putting on my uniform and will head to work. Hook will have family over to ring in the new year here.

Everyone be safe, ring in the New Year with excitement.

Can you believe Christmas is almost here, then we'll be ringing in the New Year.

So many bloggers have their spaces decorated so beautifully. Once we can't actually see each other it really feels like you're entering someones home, so warm and inviting.

I know everyone will be extra busy this week. Be safe, don't get stressed, and try to keep the Christmas cookies to a minimum!!

Returning from and evening out last night we were traveling along interstate 80 in Omaha. The roads were bad, there was about 2 inches of snow on the ground and it was still coming down.

In the fast lane, a semi was tailgating, Hook signaled and tried to move to the right to let him by, the semi moved as well...we moved back into the left lane.

The semi came around us on the right, cut in front of us, no signal nearly clipping our front end, splashing water and ice so we could hardly see the road.

Hook moved 2 lanes over, and yes, he flipped the guy the bird. The semi came after us, crossing 3 lanes of traffic and put us on the shoulder.

I was terrified, I was actually screaming.

Unprofessional drivers give the industry a bad reputation. Hook took down the trailer number, the truck number, and notified the company. All we had to do was Google the company to find the information.

He left his name, phone number, and CDL number and yes he did admit to flipping the guy off.

Don't stand for bullying.

These men are driving deadly machines. One clip, one small hit would have resulted in a major accident.

Yep, I'm Ticked OFF!!
