We are getting ready today for our getaway.

So much to do in the next 24 hours, and yeah...here I sit.

I didn't get to post a song last night, we were busy all day with details....

This coming weekend we are going out of town.

I'm so excited!!

We are going with 6 other couples to a beach in Northern Nebraska for jet skiing, boating, and just fun in the sun....relaxing.

Three weeks after we return from this trip we will be heading to Laughlin, Nevada for more sun and relaxing.

I've been searching the web for things to do there, it looks like a  beautiful place to visit.

I guess this is what summer is all about!!!

While hanging out with a few friends this weekend, a story was told about a woman who purchased a bra at Walmart, didn't wash it, and her breast became infested with worms.

I suppose it could happen, anything is possible, so I googled it.

This is what I came up with.

Summary of the eRumor:

This one is accompanied by both a photograph and a video of what is said to be parasites infesting a woman's breast and creating a grotesque site.

The story warns that women should be sure and wash a new bra to make sure any parasites have been eliminated.

It also recommends ironing underwear for the same reason. It tells the story of an anthropologist named Susan McKinley who returned from a trip to South America with a rash that evolved into a worm-infested breast.

The Truth:

We've not found anything to substantiate the Susan McKinley story or the photograph of the alleged larvae in a female breast.

There is no alarm being spread by doctors about getting worms from new and unwashed bras.

The picture accompanying the eRumor is a fabrication. It combines a picture of a woman's breast with a picture of what has been identified as flower seeds.

A flower expert suggested to TruthOrFiction.com that it was the pod of a water lotus.

 I believe this to be a rumor, although I will be boiling all new undergarments before use from now on!

Blog etiquette.

People manage their blogs differently. I like people like Sherry who always answer all comments, Scratch does too, among others. Is this something we all should do as good blogging citizens?

I tend to do it with some post, then not so much with others.

Favorite lists.

Do you think if you aren't listed on someone's favorites they don't read you??

Well, there are people like me that follow the Trial-O- Blogs. I go to one, which always links me to the next. Then there's Bella's, if you go back far enough, everyone is listed for Saturday.

Lazy or clever, you decide.

Copies into E-mail.

 

Does everyone go back and read their comments in e-mail?

Personally, I scan through, read some of the the CC'd ones and of course the private messages. The rest, I delete.

Drop Ins

I read a ton of blogs every day. Many I do not comment on. Is it proper etiquette to at least leave a smiley or a hello? Or just go about your business. Sometimes the subject is something I don't follow, like politics. Other times it's a deep subject and I have to think about it. What do the bloggers prefer?

Could someone tell me what "bandwith exceeded" is, when a picture just decides not to show up on my blog, it's annoying and I don't understand.
